Stay Tuned for Updates on Our Sphinx Educational Fund, Inc. Scholarship Brunch in 2024!

Thank you to the sponsors and community members who joined us as we celebrated the life and legacy of the Honorable Thurgood Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at 9 AM at the Desert Willow Conference Center, 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd., Suite 100, Phoenix, Arizona 85040.

Our keynote speaker, Milton C. Davis, Esq., delivered a powerful message that addresses the theme and gives students and professionals the encouragement they need to make an impact on the world today.

We also continued our tradition of presenting the Thurgood Marshall Award of Merit to Arizonans who have demonstrated outstanding commitments to making Phoenix, the State of Arizona, and the world better.

Rev. Dr. Benjamin N. Thomas, Sr., Senior Pastor of Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church and Roy Tatem, community leader, activist, entrepreneur, and political strategist, have dedicated their lives to the principles of justice, equality and excellence that remain fundamental tenets of Justice Marshall’s legacy.

OUR HISTORY

The Sphinx Educational Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by the Delta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. SEF originated from the desire by the Brothers of Delta Tau Lambda to have a vehicle that allowed them to raise money that they could in turn give back to the local community and The Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The success of SEF has grown year over year and the organization is continuing to look for new ways to assist the community to the betterment of all.

Here you will find our entire 2021 Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Virtual Celebration hosted by the Sphinx Educational Fund, Inc. We are grateful for the contributions made by our sponsors, donors, scholarship honorees and keynote speaker. Congratulations to our Award of Merit recipient!
